I was second shooting this weekend in Holyoke, MA. It was a great experience hanging more with the groom’s side of the the wedding party, focusing on prep photos all the way to the end of the evening where I caught some amazing speeches given by loved ones. Jake & Victoria were amazing to connect with, as a Boston based couple, they made the trip back to central MA to be married in Jake’s family’s parish. The reception was held at The log Cabin in Holyoke, MA.
The couple had a beautiful fall inspired wedding, with dark green, cream and gold accents. The bride and wedding party held beautiful and trendy white flowers with greenery. Bridesmaids wore a combination of satin, velvet and silk fabrics with all differently cut dresses.
The Lead Photographer, Morgan Wynne (of Morgan Wynne Photography) was incredible to work with. Her high energy and thoughtful attention to detail insured her clients always felt seen. I admired Morgan’s ability to know her client’s comfortability in front of the camera and always make sure that they felt glamourous.
The Log Cabin was a beautiful location for a medium sized wedding, with multiple venue spaces for different weddings to take place at the same time. I will say with the venue hosting multiple events at the same time, it never felt like guests were fighting for space or attention.
The whole venue sits on a bluff, overlooking a gorgeous valley that showcased the fall foliage. Ran did not stop this amazing couple from getting photos, as they all had clear umbrellas for their guests.
The beautiful overlook at the reception was a stunning background to the high energy wedding event. The DJ’s kept the guests entertained as they were served a beautiful plated meal. The vendor table enjoyed chicken margarita while catching up on their own wedding season tales. Thanks to the Videographer, Ryan Fitch (of @RandDVideo) was so great to work with and I can’t wait to connect with him on future weddings. I highly recommend adding a videographer to your creative team.
