SOME POSING IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR OWN
Some helpful tips to making posing come more natural on the day of your wedding (or during engagement and bridal portraits):
- Practice in the mirror – a soft smile, focusing on expression with your eyes.
- Laughing is amazing to capture with photos, always try and make each other laugh with sincerity.
- Drop your shoulders or relax. Tight traps can leave your neck looking shorter than it is.
- Pull your upper arms slightly away from your body – creating a more sleek look.
- Do not stand square – place your weight on one leg and pop your hip to create more of a curve.
- The closer you are to your partner in photos the better. An inch looks like a mile a part. Positioning you lower body so your legs are into each other is also key, not just your upper body.
- Use your props – movement of your clothing, accessories and surroundings is going to add interest to your photos. Play with your veil, dress and flowers. Swaying with your partner and keeping slow, consistent movement is key for diverse photos.
- Need to shake it up? Grab hands and go on a walk (for about 20 steps). Jump, sway, skip, etc. will add movement that is needed and refresh you.
- When posing with your loved ones, remember to hold each other on the smalls of their backs. When individuals go for the shoulder wrap, it can bunch up suites, clothing and look like a football huddle.
- When going in for a kiss, gently pause before touching lips. it builds suspense and tension in the photos.
- Kiss with your teeth – smile when you’re going in for a smooch can add playfulness.
- Swaying in poses with your partner adds a cinematic element, along with small touches of their hair, face and arms.
